Reception Welcomes Key Bank Manager

The lobby at Key Bank’s Cooperstown office, 103 Main St., was full of chatter and good cheer late this afternoon as customers welcomed new branch manager Allen Ruffles, left.   With him are, from left, Dan Root of Hughson & Benson, Ruffles’ cousin; Tony Wahl of Walh & Wahl, Milford, who went to Broome Community College with Allen, and Jim Empie, who retired as branch manager over the summer.  Ruffles was raised in Edmeston and, after college, taught at the high school level for several years; he was in the insurance business in Syracuse before joining Key Bank.  (Jim Kevlin/AllOTSEGO.com)

County Property Auction Set for January 14

County Treasurer Allen Ruffles, a Republican, told AllOtsego the large number of properties was due to a three-year halt on auctions due to a Supreme Court case. In Tyler v.
