COOPERSTOWN – Otsego’s Olympian Sarah True is back on the course and leading the American Triathlon team at penultimate event on the 2016 ITU World Triathlon Series this Sunday in Edmonton, Alberta.

True looks to improve on the fourth-place finish she posted in Edmonton two years ago at the series Grand Final. She has posted two top-10 finishes in World Triathlon Series events this season and raced in the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, where a quad cramp in the bike portion forced her to pull out of race.

Also joining her is Kate Zaferes, who made her Olympic debut in Rio, where she finished 18th.

ITU World Triathlon Edmonton covers a sprint-distance 750-meter swim, 20-kilometer bike and 5-kilometer run, with the elite women scheduled to race at 2:06 p.m. ET on Sunday, Sept. 4.  The races will be broadcast live online at www.triathlonlive.tv.
