Scriven Foundation, NYCON
announce 2021 mini-grants
for Otsego County nonprofits

ONEONTA – The New York Council of Nonprofits announced Monday, June 21,that the 2021 Otsego County Mini-Grant Program awards for Otsego County nonprofits and their capacity building projects has opened for the year.

The program is intended to measurably improve the governance and management operations of qualifying Otsego County 501(c)3 charitable nonprofits, according to a media release.

Launched in 2004, this program is made possible with underwriting from The Scriven Foundation.

“We have supported this program for 18 years because we want to ensure that our local nonprofits have access to high-quality advice and professional development,” said Jane Forbes Clark, president of The Scriven Foundation, in a media release.  “This effort is important because the awardees’ programs and services touch every aspect of our communities, and we want them to be able to do their absolute best in achieving their individual missions.”

This year’s awards provide important investment and support to the following nonprofits: Butternut Valley Alliance, Catholic Charities of Delaware, Otsego and Schoharie Counties, Catskill Symphony Orchestra, Center for Agricultural Development & Entrepreneurship, Chenango United Way, Community Foundation of Otsego County, Cooperstown Art Association, Cooperstown Food Pantry Inc., Cornell Cooperative Extension of Schoharie and Otsego Counties, Family Resource Network, Inc, Fenimore Art Museum/The Farmers’ Museum, Friends of Recovery of Delaware and Otsego Counties, Inc., Friends of the Oneonta Community Health Center, Inc., Friends of the Oneonta Theatre, Hanford Mills Museum, Leatherstocking Council BSA, Lower Deck Events, Mothers & Babies Perinatal Network of SCNY, Inc., Oneonta World of Learning, Opportunities for Otsego, Otsego 2000, Inc., Otsego County Conservation Association, Otsego County Council of Senior Citizens Inc   (OCCSC), Otsego Land Trust, Inc., Otsego Rural Housing Assistance Inc, Pathfinder Village, Inc., Richfield Springs Community Center, South Central Regional Library Council, Springbrook Inc., State University College at Oneonta Children’s Center, Susquehanna Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, The Angel Network of Cooperstown, The Arc Otsego and The Brookwood School.
