Skies Clear For Ice Cream Social,

Cooperstown’s 4th Of July Opener

The Moyer girls, from right ,Alice, 5, Madeleine, 12, and mom Emily partake of ice cream and cake at the Cooperstown Presbyterian Church Ice Cream Social, which continues until 8 p.m. at Church and Pioneer, the traditional opener to the Fourth of July Weekend. In this afternoon's downpour, organizers had moved all the tables into the chapel; but, with an hour of sunshine, many of the tables were moved back onto the front lawn. (Jim Kevlin/AllOTSEGO.com)
