SQSPCA Announces Opportunity to Triple Giving Impact on Sept. 15

COOPERSTOWN—The Susquehanna Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is once again participating in the Staffworks Save A Life Campaign powered by Mohawk Valley Gives. Online gifts will be matched by Anita Vitullo of the Staffworks Fund up to $15,000.00 from Monday, September 14 through Friday, September 18, officials announced in a press release earlier today.
In addition to this match opportunity, another kind supporter, Elise Eaton, has stepped forward to challenge the SQSPCA to raise $5,000.00 online on Tuesday, September 15. Eaton will match each gift up to that $5,000.00 goal.
“Anita and Elise are incredible supporters of not only our organization, but animals in general. Their compassion is beyond admirable,” said SQSPCA Executive Director Stacie Haynes. “Elise’s match along with Anita’s gives donors the opportunity to triple their impact on September 15th.”
Haynes explained that with the Staffworks dollar-for-dollar match plus Eaton’s challenge, each $1.00 contribution can become $3.00 on Tuesday, September 15.
“For as many heartbreaking scenes as we have experienced this year, we have seen many more beautiful, happy endings,” remarked Haynes. “With every scenario involving animals in dire need, we have been overwhelmed in the best way by our community’s willingness to help—that’s what allows us to say ‘yes’ in times of crisis.
“Giving during times like these is just as important as giving in times of crisis,” Haynes said. “Our daily operations continue every day, and having the resources we need allows us to help animals who come through our doors while also being prepared when an unexpected crisis arises.”
