SS/CV-S tops Morris/Laurens in baseball

Luke Dubben and Owen Johnson combined to shut out Morris/Laurens, 11-0, in five innings, in a Tri-Valley League baseball game Wednesday, May 12, in Morris.

Dubben went four innings for the win, striking out eight batters while only allowing three hits and one walk. Johnson pitched to four batters in the bottom of the fifth, striking out one and walking one.

Dubben and Johnson led the team at the plate, too, both going 3-for-4 with two RBIs. Dubben scored twice and Johnson once.

C.J. Hurley went 2-for-2 with three RBI and Dylan Huff also had two RBI and a run for SS/CV-S, (1-0, 1-0), which hosts Edmeston at 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 14.

Jon Child took the loss for Morris/Laurens, giving up 10 runs before getting relieved in the fourth inning. M/L plays at Milford at 4:30 p.m. Friday, May 14.
