Kenneth L. Eastman

EDMESTON – Kenneth L. Eastman, 74, of Edmeston, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday Dec. 31, 2018.

Ken was born in San Bernardino, Calif., on July 14, 1944, the son of the late Harrison and Gladys Avery Eastman.

Ken was an Army veteran, serving from 1963 to 1966 in the 82nd Airborne. While stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C., he met the love of his life, Hilda. They later married at the First Baptist Church on Feb. 18, 1967, in Morris. Ken and Hilda were blessed with over 51 years of marriage.

Veteran, Worcester Fire Chief

ONEONTA – Harvey B. Baker, 86, retired D&H conductor and former Worcester fire chief, passed away Jan. 16, 2017, at his winter home in Florida with his family by his side.

He was born on April 9, 1931, in Oneonta, to the late Cecil Baker and Leona Carpenter.  Harvey met his surviving wife Edna Schambers in 1948 and they married on Nov. 7, 1951.  Harvey and Edna were married for 65 years.
