Escaped Convict David Sweat Shot; In Police Custody

POLICE SHOOT, CAPTURE ESCAPEE DAVID SWEAT David Sweat, one of the two convicts who eluded police for more than three weeks after a daring jail break from Clinton Correctional Facility, was shot by state troopers this afternoon in the Town of Constable, just two days after a federal agent shot and killed his partner, Richard W.
