ONEONTA – Three men were arrested Tuesday night after Oneonta police executed a search warren at 300 Main Street and allegedly found cocaine and LSD in the residence.
Timothy A. Baron, 37, Mark J. Fategoni, 55 and Zachery E. Meegan, 28 were all arrested and charged with possessing cocaine. Meegan was also allegedly in possession of LSD, and $9,500 in cash was also seized. Police were assisted by the Otsego County Sheriffs Department’s K9 Unit.
ONEONTA – Oneonta Police and Otsego County District Attorney John Muehl are investigating a death in police custody last evening, after a man arrested on narcotics-trafficking charges swallowed what might have been cocaine, according to Police Chief Douglas Brenner.
To Brenner’s knowledge, this is the first time a suspect has died in OPD custody.
Kenneth J. Faulkner, 52, New Rochelle, was arrested on a warrant at about 5 p.m. at 85 Ford Ave., and taken to the city’s Public Safety Building, Brenner said. About 5:35 p.m., a second warrant was served at the building, allowing “a body search. “
“He was on the threshold of the door of the holding cell, and in three seconds he had managed to close the door and get the drugs into his mouth,” Brenner said in a interview this afternoon. “The officer opened the door and tried to get him to spit out the drugs.”
ONEONTA – An Oneonta man was arrested after police allegedly found him in possession of cocaine worth more than $5,000.
Aaron M. Willey, 31, was arrested Tuesday, June 13 after Oneonta City police, with the assistance of the state police and Department of Corrections, served a search warrant at his residence at 5106 State Highway 23, lot 82 in the Town of Oneonta. Police allegedly found 1.99 ounces of powder cocaine with a street value in excess of $5,000, as well as $2,472 in various denominations of US currency.
MILFORD – Three people were arrested after a search by the state police allegedly found heroin and cocaine at a home in Milford.
Richard A. Cushnie, 28, and Keith M. Blush, 37, both of Maryland, were arrested along with Kwannasia K. Barnes, 24, Binghamton, after state police executed a search warrant at the Milford home. During the search, police allege that a quantity of heroin and cocaine were found, as well as U.S. currency.
ONEONTA – During a traffic stop at 2 a.m. last Wednesday, Oneonta police reported today that they discovered 20 bags of heroin and a gram of cocaine and arrested the driver, Vickie E. Tolbert, 48, of Oneonta at 2 a.m. last Wednesday.
They charged Tolbert, the driver, with criminal possession of a controlled substance, third degree, a felony.
ONEONTA – Two men were arrested and more than $7,000 in heroin and cocaine were seized in a raid this morning at the Townhouse Inn on Main Street in Oneonta.
Allen E. McMullen, 25, with no address, and Donald F. Starr 3rd, 37, Davenport Center were arrested after a joint investigation by the Oneonta Police Department Detective Division and the NYS Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations, along with K-9 Diff, served a search warrant at the Townhouse Inn, 318 Main St. Oneonta.
ONEONTA – A man and a woman were each charged with selling cocaine in Oneonta in what Lt. Douglas Brenner describes as “an upswing” in the drug’s sale.
“For the past two years, we’ve seen cocaine creeping back into Oneonta,” he said. “We try to keep an eye on trends.”
Freddie L. Sampson, 44, Brooklyn, was arrested Sept 8. and charged with five counts of third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony, four for selling cocaine and one for hydrocodone.
WORCESTER – Investigators with the Otsego County District Attorney’s Office partnered with the Drug Enforcement Administration to take down an alleged drug trafficker and three-time felon in the Town of Worcester.
Paul James Velleca, 45, was arrested yesterday after a no-knock warrant was served following an investigation put in place by Town Supervisor Donald L. Lindberg, who reported suspicious activity at Velleca’s mobile home.
GUILFORD – Executing a “no knock” search warrant here yesterday, Chenango County deputies and Sidney village police report seizing 280 packets of heroin, an ounce of cocaine, drug scales, packaging material and cash.
The resident of 104 Spreutels Lane, Samuel Rivera, was charged with two counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled in the Third Degree (Class B Felony), Criminal Nuisance in the First Degree (Class E Felony), and two counts of Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia. He was arraigned on $10,000 bail.
ONEONTA – An early-morning fight in front of the Oneonta Hotel lead to the arrest of a man for possession of cocaine.
At 1 a.m. on Sunday, March 27, the Oneonta Police Department responded to reports of a fight at 195 Main Street. When they arrived, the arrested Avi Ray Figeuroa, 25, Oneonta. During a search of Figueroa, police claim they found white powder they believed to be cocaine, as well as packaging materials commonly used for unlawfully dealing narcotics.
COOPERSTOWN – A Utica man, Joseph N. Williams, 35, was arrested this morning by Otsego County investigators for selling cocaine last July in the Village of Richfield Springs, county Sheriff’s investigators report.
