With 23 Bags Of Cocaine

ONEONTA – Oneonta Police arrested a Utica man found with 23 bags of cocaine worth $2,300 after a raid at a house on Baker Street Wednesday afternoon.

Kwame Wilson, 23, was arrested with the assistance of state police K9 Milton, after investigating a report of possible drug activity at 14½ Baker Street.

At the scene police allegedly seized 23 individual packets of cocaine with a street value of approximately $2,300, $246 in cash and a small quantity of marijuana with a street value of $20.

“We’re starting to see really cocaine come back into the area,” said Lt. Douglas Brenner.

Wilson was arrested and charged with the class B Felony of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree and the violation of unlawful possession of marijuana.

If convicted, he faces 25 years incarceration.
