COOPERSTOWN – An Oneida County woman was arrested after a “small quantity” of cocaine was found in her possession when she was admitted to Bassett Hospital.

Village police were contacted by Bassett after Debra Lee Burton, 54, was found to be in possession of approximately one gram of powdered cocaine when she was admitted on Jan. 31.   That afternoon, detectives obtained a warren of arrest for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a class A misdemeanor, for

Steve Bieritz, of the Bieritz Insurance Agency of Cooperstown, hands Chief Michael Covert a check for $2,914 to Chief to purchase four Body Worn Cameras for his officers.  The cameras, which will be turned on during all arrests, calls and stops. Also pictured are Sally Bieritz and Patrolman Kevin Voce.
