HOMETOWN HISTORY June 14, 2019 150 YEARS AGO Fatal Accident – William Beach, a man about 70 years of age, was instantly killed by the locomotive of the evening train west, on Saturday last, at a creek crossing near Wells Bridge. He was discovered in the act of crawling across the bridge, and it is supposed was intoxicated. He was seen too late to stop the train, and so terrible was the blow that he fell dead between the timbers…
