DEVLIN’S THE ONE FOR A THIRD TERM

2018 MIDTERM ELECTIONS

DEVLIN’S THE ONE

FOR A THIRD TERM

Otsego County Sheriff Richard J. Devlin, Jr., casts his vote in Milford Town Hall in Portlandville this evening, and it was more than enough. With 100 percent of precincts reporting, Devlin has defeated retired state trooper Bob Fernandez, 10,392 to 9,356, or 53.54 percent to 47.30. Total ballots cast, 20,452. (Ian Austin/AllOTSEGO.com)
Big Turnout Indicated At Oneonta Polling Site

2018 MIDTERM ELECTIONS

Big Turnout Indicated

At Oneonta Polling Site

ONEONTA – Voters cast 2,864 ballots today at Foothills Performing Arts Center, although past numbers for comparison weren’t immediately available as election officials on site shut things down and left.

However, a quick review of data available suggested about two-thirds of registered voters cast ballots in the city.  If Cooperstown’s experience holds – 30 to 40 percent turnout in a mid-term election – than Oneonta numbers, unsurprisingly, are high as well.
