David Erbe

SIDNEY – David Dean Erbe, 74, who signed with the Minnesota Twins to play professional baseball after graduating from Oneonta High School, died April 8, 2019, surrounded by his family.

Born March 14, 1945, in Cooperstown, he was a relief pitcher in the Twins’ minor league organization in 1966.

He later lived in Sidney for many years, working for Custom Electronics in Oneonta, Amphenol/Bendix in Sidney, and retired from Corning’s Oneonta plant.

OHS Graduate Played In Little League

ONEONTA – Kyle Luis Jaramillo, 18, of Oneonta, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, at home in Oneonta.

He was born on May 25, 1999, the son of Luis and Nicole (Dieppa) Jaramillo.

A 2017 graduate of Oneonta High School, Kyle played Little League growing up in Oneonta. He enjoyed music and several other hobbies besides baseball including body building.

OHS Graduate Dies Unexpectedly At 37

MILFORD – Cameron “Cam” B. Walters, 37, died unexpectedly Friday, Oct. 13, 2017.

Born Oct. 14, 1979, he was the son of Bernard and Katherine (Hill) Walters of Milford.

He grew up in Nashville, Tenn., and moved to Oneonta before his senior year. He attended Oneonta High School and Mohawk Valley Community College.

Cameron was charismatic, fun to be around and loved by all who knew him. He was an easy-going gentle spirit and made friends easily.
