The Sweet Adelines Help Girl Scouts

Earn Musical Merit Badge

The local chapter of The Sweet Adelines are working with area Girl Scouts to help them earn their Young Women In Harmoney Activity patches.  Threes groups of girls; Daiseys, Brownies and Girl Scouts, met with The Sweet Adelines at Valleyview School on Saturday morning where they learned about harmonies, rounds, duets, trios, music recognition and more. Girl Scout Troop Presents Their Silver Award Project

Oneonta Girl Scouts Honor Cancer Victims With Garden Oneonta Girl Scout Liv Robinson, above,  places a commemorative stone in the center of the Interactive Cancer Memorial & Survivor Garden she and other members of Troop 30132 built at the OWL Nest in Fortin Park. The two-year project includes a stone walkway, an interactive arbor where names of those lost may  be written, and a forthcoming “wind phone” booth, where people can send their memories out on the wind.
