Installing Floor Will Close Library 2 Weeks

COOPERSTOWN – The Village Library of Cooperstown will be closed Monday, Jan. 4, to Friday, Jan 15, at the tile floor in the main entry is replaced with wood flooring similar to what was originally there.  The project will remove damaged tile and asbestos sub-flooring.

Village offices will be open as usual, accessible through the Fair Street entrance.

The renovation will be paid for with a grant from the state Library Construction Program and the Friends of the Village Library.

There will be no penalty for books that are due during this period, and the outdoor book drop box will still be available for book returns.   While the library is closed, patrons may use other libraries in the Four-County Library System.

Cooperstown Library Suspends Fines
