COOPERSTOWN –  Richard Hamilton Vineyard, 47, who spent his childhood in Cooperstown, died Nov. 15, 2015.  He resided in Lake Arrowhead, Calif., at the time of his passing.

He was the son of Jack Vineyard of Cooperstown and Mary Lou Johnson; beloved brother to Jim and Peter Vineyard.  Rich leaves behind his wife, Taryn Leigh, and daughters Emma Leigh Riene and Olivia Dale Caldwell Vineyard.

Rich was an avid USC football fan and competitive softball enthusiast while having an outstanding career at Simpson Strong-Tie, the building materials company, where he was a sales analyst.

He was a true “natural brother” and will be most remembered for his love, dedication and devotion to his daughters.  Richard will live on in spirit through everyone who knew him.

  1. I’m a friend of Emma and Olivya’s, and when I heard about their father when they moved here, I was devastated. I wish he got to see the amazing, kind, and beautiful girls his daughters grew up to be.
