Second Teen Arrested
In January Break-In
ONEONTA – A 17 year old was arrested this morning as he showed up for court on a bench warrant, charged as the third suspect in the January burglary and assault.
Future S. Clovis was arrested and charged with four felonies for a burglary and assault at a home in the city of Oneonta. Last week, Ernesto D. Santiago, 39, and Daquan Davis, 18, were arrested for the same crime.
Last August, Clovis was arrested in a stabbing on Chestnut Street. He had been in jail on a bench warrant in early February, and upon his arrival for court Monday morning, he was arrested and charged.
He was charged with Robbery in the first degree, class B felony, Burglary in the first degree, class B Felony, Criminal use of a Firearm in the first degree, class B felony, Assault in the second degree, class D felony and Menacing in the second degree, class A misdemeanor. If found guilty, he faces 82 years in prison
The investigation is still ongoing.

Yeah fry his 17 year old butt! Kill all criminals right? Cause nobody has the right to make a mistake..
Oh yea I’m sure he accidentally stabbed someone in the streets of Oneonta last year and now I’m sure he just accidentally broke into the guys house and stole shit right? He doesn’t deserve a fry he deserves a nice gut stab and left to suffer…
A MISTAKE??!!! Did you read his rap sheet? He stabbed someone last year and then was arrested for a burglary and assault…..better known as a home invasion. It’s not a mistake when you continue to commit brutal crimes!!
Again, you all seem to quick to “fry” this 17 year old for crimes. Did I say he was innocent? No. Did he commit crimes? Yes. My point is being so quick to “fry” someone shows a lack of humanity and you all should be ashamed. Let’s all remember he is 17! The eye for an eye nonsense is a barbaric train of thought.
Without knowing facts I think everyone should take a look in the mirror and ask themselves if a young man’s life should be taken from him because of a stabbing in the buttocks and a home invasion of another criminal?
