Rare Moon Over Otsego County

A rare strawberry moon is visible from the Clark Sports Center fields and across Otsego County at this hour. Strawberry, because it coincides with the height of the strawberry season. What’s rare about tonight’s full moon is that it coincides with the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year. That hasn’t happened since 1967 and won’t happen again until 2062.
