ONEONTA – Southside Mall manager Luisa Montanti has invited Common Council and City Hall department heads to participate in “Get the Scoop,” an ice-cream social and free movie the mall and Hartwick College are hosting next Sunday, the afternoon of the 4th.

At the suggestion of Paul Patterson, Oneonta Public Transit director, the officials have been invited to get on the OPT bus at 3:45 p.m., before it picks up the Hartwick students and ride to the mall with them and they tour the downtown, Southside, neighborhoods and parks.

The idea, Montanti said in her invitation, is “to spend some time to help set the tone in bringing town and gown together as community.”
