INDUCTION WEEKEND 2017

SMALLER CROWD,

BUT GOOD CHEER

5 Heroes Hailed Under Sunny Skies

The shutters snap as the five latest heroes to enter the Baseball Hall of Fame – it happened this afternoon at the Clark Sports Center fields in Cooperstown – smile for the camera and AN estimated 35,000 fans. It wasn’t as big as some Inductions past, but the weather was great and everyone seemed glad to be here. From left are Bud Selig, Ivan “Pudge” Rodriguez, John Schuerholz, Tim Raines and Jeff Bagwell.  As Hall chairman Jane Forbes Clark noted, only one percent of MLB players make it into the Pantheon of Baseball Heroes.  (Ian Austin/AllOTSEGO.com)
