78 Bags of Heroin Seized
In Orchard Street Bust
ONEONTA – Two people were arrested and 78 bags of heroin seized during an investigation into narcotic trafficking in the West End.
Laura Pepper, 54, and Mathew Hill, 45, were arrested after the OPD’s Patrol Division and Special Response Team, along with the State Police K9 unit, served a search warrant at their 1-A Orchard St. address. Confiscated at the scene were 78 bags of heroin with a street value of approximately $1,540, as well as $352 dollars in US currency.
Both were charged with the class B felony of Criminal Possession of a Controlled substance in the third. If convicted, they each face a maximum of 25 years incarceration.
