ONEONTA – The SUNY Oneonta Alumni Association today presented an award to Maj. Gen. Anthony German, ’81, adjutant general for the State of New York, and the first general from Oneonta since the Civil War, during the college’s Alumni Weekend brunch this morning at the Hunt Union.
The Schoharie County native, SUNY Oneonta grad and Oneonta resident was appointed commander of the New York State National Guard by Governor Cuomo March 9. He had previously commanded the state’s Air National Guard.
