185 YEARS AGO: ONE CENT REWARD—Ran away, or rather walked away (being too lazy to run) from the Subscriber on Sunday, the 9th inst., an indentured Apprentice Boy named William Henry Baird. This is to forbid all persons harboring or trusting said Boy on my account, as I shall pay no debts of his contracting after this date. The above reward will be paid to any person who will return said boy, but no charges paid, and but few thanks given. Abner Graves, Jr., Cooperstown, August 10, 1840.
