Downtown Renewal Launch

oneonta-city-sealONEONTA – The public is welcome at the kickoff meeting for the city’s newly named  Downtown Revitalization Steering Committee meeting 1-3 p.m. Tuesday in Foothills’ second-floor small theater.  There will also be an opportunity for public comment.

The steering committee, which includes both college presidents and other business and civic leaders, was formed to implement the $10 million downtown revitalization grant announced in July to development a entertainment district around a “food hub” at Chestnut and Market.

In addition to the local Steering Committee, representatives from state departments of State and of Homes & Community Renewal, Governor Cuomo’s office, and Stantec Urban Design will participate.
