IN MEMORIAM: Christopher German, 57;
Veteran; Certified Orthodist, Prosthetist
SOUTH KORTRIGHT – Christopher Dirk German, 57, a certified orthotist and prosthetist, businessman and Air Force veteran, died on Nov. 5, 2018.
Christopher was born on May 28, 1961, in Heidelberg, Germany, the son of Andrew and Helga German. He served in the U.S. Air Force from April 1983 to 1987 as a precision measurement equipment lab specialist.
Christopher left the service and opened Wild Art Taxidermy Studio with his father. He went back to school, completing his undergraduate studies at SUNY Oneonta, and his post-graduate education at Northwestern University.
He then served his community by providing patient care in the local region as a certified orthotist and prosthetist, most recently at the Center for Orthotic & Prosthetic Care, Cooperstown.
During his life, Christopher pursued his passions of spending time with friends and family, golfing, gardening, hunting, fishing, cooking and playing pool.
He is survived by his three children, Schuyler, Brynne, and Alexis; mother, Helga; brother, Anthony German of Oneonta, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the Sacred Heart Church, Stamford.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Miller Funeral Home, Roxbury.
