NYC Steamfitter Retired To Oneonta

Albert Schrag

DAVENPORT – Albert Schrag, 84, of Davenport, a former security guard at Homer Folks Hospital, passed away on April 30, 2017, at Bassett Hospital after battling a long illness.

Albert was born in Queens and spent most his career working as a New York City  steamfitter. He also served as a fire commissioner of the North Merrick Fire Department.  After retirement Al worked as a security guard the Oneonta TB hospital.

Albert loved music and loved to dance, he enjoyed the beauty of horses, and loved to watch western movies.

James married the love of his life, Roberta (“Bobbie”), on January 2, 1962. Together, they built a thriving family business. James loved beauty. This passion led him to establish J.R. Frazier and Sons, a company that became a cornerstone of our community.…
