Bassett Hospital ‘Goes Pink’

Bassett Medical Center held its third annual Go Pink! event October 23 to raise awareness of breast cancer and encourage staff to take advantage of preventive screenings. The event included an opportunity for employees to schedule a screening mammogram and bone density test; 55 employees received their regular screening mammogram and five had a bone density screening. To cap off Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Bassett employees gathered on the hospital terrace for a Go Pink! photo shoot and assembled in the shape of the pink ribbon that symbolizes breast cancer awareness

In Memoriam: Antoinette Kuzminski

Dr. Antoinette Kuzminski, long-time Bassett physician, passed away on August 22, 2024 after a long struggle with a rare cancer, angiosarcoma. Known by family and friends as T’nette, she was born as Antoinette Mendlow in New York City in 1946, where she was raised with her siblings on Central Park South. Bassett relaxes emergency visit rules

Bassett relaxes emergency visit rules Bassett Healthcare Network partially lifted visitation restrictions in its emergency departments across the region effective March 1, 2022.   This includes A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta, A.O. Fox Hospital’s Tri-Town Campus in Sidney, Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown, Cobleskill Regional Hospital, Little Falls Hospital, and O’Connor Hospital in Delhi. Under the rules announced March 1, patients will be permitted to have one visitor with them during their time in the emergency department.
