Oneonta-born Mary-Ann Corrao Ferree, known for 40 years as Brandy in Buffalo & Brandy, a combo that has been performing nationally since 1977, is presented with a Hartwick College medallion (and a basket of Hartwick memorabilia) by her alma mater’s president, Margaret Drugovich, during Fabulous Friday activities yesterday in Oneonta’s Muller Plaza.  Mayor Russ Southard the tearfully delighted performer with a framed proclamation that proclaimed Friday, July 3, “Mary-Ann Corrao Ferree Day in Oneonta.”  Also on hand was Oneonta Town Supervisor Bob Wood, a classmate of Brandy’s at Oneonta High School. Riverside Students Plant Apple Trees, Help Restore Piece of Oneonta History ONEONTA On Friday, April 28, the City of Oneonta planted an apple orchard on the Swart-Wilcox House Museum property with the help of Riverside Elementary School students. The planting was made possible thanks to funds obtained by City Community Development Director Judy Pangman through a special “Tree Planting in Disadvantaged Communities after Ash Tree Loss” grant.
