Fiber Fest & Free Admission

At Cooperstown Museums

At the Fiber Arts Festival, Garry Aney, master interpreter of textiles at the Farmer’s Museum in Cooperstown, removes a batch of Wool from a copper cauldron in preparation for dying. Black eyed susans and gloriosa daisies are then added to the water for half an hour, then the wool is added back into the bath to be dyed yellow. Today is also Community Day and the general public can enjoy free admission to the Farmer’s Museum, the Fenimore Art Museum and the Baseball Hall Of Fame. (Ian Austin/AllOTSEGO.com)
