In Memoriam

Connie Jean (Truex) Bennett

Lifelong West Exeter resident,
artist, Mets fan, grandmother.

Connie Jean (Truex) Bennett passed away peacefully on July 22 with her family by her side.

A lifelong resident of West Exeter NY, Connie was a loving mother and doting grandmother to seven beautiful grand daughters whom were the entire world to her.

She raised her family with her husband of 25 years, Rick Bennett at the family home that was the center of activity for family and friends through the 80’s, 90’s and 00’s.

She is survived by her three children, Corey (Lori) Bennett, Ryan (Jes) Bennett, and Haylee (David) Colombo; her mother Greta Truex; her grand girls Katie, Kelsey, Rylynn, Mavery, Alivia, Reeve, and Carlie and her cat Morrison James. She was predeceased by her father Joe Truex and her faithful dog Griffen.

Connie was an artist, a fabulous cook and baker, and a leader of games and projects. She was good at trivia and terrible at spelling. She loved her Mets and she hated her Mets. Mets fans understand that. She loved to camp, especially with her friend and close companion Deb Wojehowski, whom she met while working with Cornell Cooperative Extension of Otsego County. She was a fierce advocate for everyone that she cared about and she will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

A celebration of Connie’s life will be held at a future date. To send condolences, visit www.Delkerterryfh.com or Delker and Terry Funeral Home on Facebook.
