Constance Marie Hoyt, 93 of New Berlin, passed away Saturday July 31, 2021 in Norwich, NY.

Marie was born on July 11, 1928 in Clayville, NY the daughter of the late Roy and Lois Kingsley Jones. In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by eight siblings.

She is survived by her husband of 74 years Arleigh C. (A.C.) Hoyt of New Berlin, a son David (Carolyn) Hoyt of Burlington Flats, grandchildren Brianne  (Sean) Law, Jamison (Megan Vaccaro) Hoyt, and Katelyn Hoyt, great grandchild Everleigh Mae Hoyt. Also surviving are sisters Jeanette Gould, Victoria O’Brien, Joy Beeching, along with many nieces and nephews.

A 70 year resident of the area, Marie and A.C. were the owners of the A.C. Hoyt Hardware store in Edmeston since 1962. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in New Berlin.

Calling hours will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday August 3, 2021, and from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Wednesday August 4, 2021 at Delker and Terry Funeral Home 30 South Street Edmeston. A celebration of Marie’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday August 4, 2021 at the First Baptist Church 30 South Street New Berlin, NY with Pastor Dan Baltich officiating. Interment will be in Edmeston Union Cemetery. Donations may be made to the First Baptist Church in memory of Marie.   1. I remember Marie as a sweet young wife as well we the sister of my precious friend and classmate, Jeanette. She was a valued help to my parents, Pastor and Mrs. Ben Taylor. Marie loved the Lord Jesus and I’m sure she is loving being with Him in His heavenly home.
