Cooperstown Man Dies

As Motorcycle Crashes

HARTWICK – A 28-year-old Cooperstown man was killed yesterday in a mid-morning motorcycle crash  with a pickup truck in the Town of Hartwick.

He was identified as Kyle W. Bronson.  He was a 2007 graduate of Cooperstown Central, where he played football.

State Police said Bronson was eastbound on Route 11 heading toward Hartwick hamlet when he lost control of his 2010 Kawasaki and crossed into the westbound lane, striking a 2015 GMC Denali pickup truck.

He was pronounced deceased at the scene due to crash-related injuries.  The operator of the pickup truck, identified as Thomas W. Stewart, 66, of Laurens, was not injured.

The state Police Collision Reconstruction Unit assisted at the scene with the investigation, which is continuing.
