ONEONTA – Duane Charles Morin, 40, a gifted musian who spoke five languages, lost his battle with cancer Aug. 11, 2016, at Bassett Hospital.

He was born Dec. 29, 1975, in Waterbury, Conn., the son of Sandra (Wells) Morin. He is also survived by his brother, Shawn Morin of Oneonta; his step sisters, Sherrie Bennett of Happy Valley, Ore., and Erica Morin of Oneonta; and his lifelong and best friend, Sarah Gerold of Portlandville.

Duane attended Laurens Central School and also Cazenovia College.   He lived in Oneonta and worked for Springbrook at Portlandville and Oneonta.

At Duane’s request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers any donations would be welcomed by his family to help with Duane’s medical expense c/o Sandy Morin, 296 Winney Hill Road, Oneonta, NY 13820.
