Autistic Residents Underrepresented

As someone whom lives in the city of Oneonta and who has a very mild form of autism (Asperger’s), there is a plethora of different people who reside in the city. Here’s what I noticed during the whole month of April, also known as Autism Awareness Month: Not a single mention nor any other word to advocate for those who have autism from any council member, especially those who supposedly care for them by being an advocate. Shame on those who give the people who have autism false hope for not doing anything for them.

Not a single event for them happened, like a walk, benefit event, nothing. If someone can’t represent all people, including those who have autism, then they should not be in a position to have any power.
