Trump Needs To Be Stopped

I am shocked that President Trump is gutting the regulations for Head Start, a national program that has helped preschoolers and mothers since 1965.

In Otsego County, Head Start serves 148 preschool children and 130 infants and pregnant women at seven locations. It partners with parents to help children build the skills they need for success in school and in life. High-risk families enrolled in Head Start are 93 percent less likely to see their children enter the foster care system. Children in the program receive immunizations, dental checkups and early screenings for developmental disabilities.

We need a Democratic Congress to limit Trump’s destruction of Head Start. Vote for Josh Riley, congressman for New York’s 19th Congressional District, to keep Head Start alive.
