Henderson To Run for Hartwick Town Council

HARTWICK—Kimberly Henderson has announced her candidacy for Hartwick Town Council. A lifelong member of the Hartwick community, according to a press release, Henderson is bringing her strong financial background and deep local ties to the table, with a focus on modernizing town operations while preserving its hometown values.

The daughter of Bruce and Julie Wellman, Henderson was born and raised in Hartwick and made the decision to return in 2014 to raise her family.

“Hartwick has always been home,” she said. “It’s where I wanted my children to grow up—with the same sense of safety, connection and shared values that shaped my life.”

With a long-standing career in the banking industry, Henderson brings valuable experience in budgeting, financial oversight, and customer service—skills she believes are essential to helping the town make responsible and effective decisions.

“I understand the importance of fiscal accountability and smart planning,” Henderson said. “If elected, I’ll work to ensure our town’s resources are used efficiently and transparently, and that residents have a real voice in the process.”

Henderson said her campaign focuses on rebuilding trust, addressing residents’ concerns directly, and revisiting outdated policies to better reflect today’s needs—all while supporting sustainable growth that maintains Hartwick’s character.

“I believe in forward-thinking leadership rooted in respect and results,” said Henderson. “I’m committed to being accessible, responsive and honest. I would be honored to serve the community I care so deeply about.”

Henderson invites voters to learn more about her vision and join her in working toward a stronger future for Hartwick.
