IN MEMORIAM: Lucille Fink, 93;

Member of Italian American Club

ONEONTA – Lucille R. Fink, “Lucy,” 93, an active member of St. Mary’s Church and the Italian American Club, passed away on Monday, Sept. 24, 2018, at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.

She was born on Oct. 7, 1924, in Oneonta, the daughter of Sisto and Carmella (D’Ambrosini) Sardella.

Lucy worked for many years at the Triangle Shoe Store as an assistant manager.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, past president of the Rosary Society, member of Young at Hearts, as well as the Italian American Club. She enjoyed reading and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Craig B. Fink of Oneonta; granddaughter, Rene Fink of Oneonta; grandson, Aaron (Vikki) Fink of Victor; great-granddaughter, Macy (Steven) Engler of Oneonta; great-granddaughter, Nicole Harmer of Oneonta; great-grandson, Carter Fink of Victor; great- granddaughter Ciara Fink of Victor; great-great-grandchildren, Gabriella and Samuel Engler; sister-in-law, Sandy Sardella; as well as nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother and father; son and daughter-in-law, John and Corinne Fink; and brother, Joseph Sardella.

There will be no calling hours. A Funeral Mass will take place at 10:45 a.m. Monday, Oct. 1, at St Mary’s Church, 39 Walnut St., Oneonta. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Emmons.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Catskill Area Hospice, 297 River Street Service Road, Oneonta, NY 13820.
