Indivisible To Hold Demonstrations Oct. 10 and 17

OTSEGO COUNTY—More than 70 grassroots organizations across New York State and New England, including CooperstownOneonta Indivisible, will join together this Saturday to encourage civic participation and voter engagement ahead of the 2026 mid-term elections.

On October 10, Indivisible members will gather from 10-11 a.m. at the corner of Chestnut and Main streets and from 1-3 p.m. on Main Street Oneonta in Muller Plaza, joining hundreds of volunteers in this multi-state action, holding large banners with civic‑engagement messages to get out the vote, and to emphasize early voting for this November’s election.

The banners will feature large, high‑visibility political messages displayed at street-level and from highway overpasses during peak weekend traffic, organizers said.

The following Saturday, October 17, CooperstownOneonta Indivisible will hold No Kings 4 from noon to 1 p.m., urging citizens to “get out the early vote.” Participants will gather at the Brenner building, 24 Bertus Lauren Avenue in Oneonta’s Neahwa Park to form a human chain all the way up to Main Street. That event is sponsored by CooperstownOneonta Indivisible, Butternut Valley Indivisible, Indivisible for Schoharie County, Cherry Valley Indivisible and the Otsego County Democratic Committee.
