IN MEMORIAM: Juel S. Luscomb, 82;

Teacher, Tri-Town Theatre Standout

Juel Luscomb

SIDNEY – Juel Smith Luscomb, an English teacher who filled starring roles at the Tri-Town Theatre in Bainbridge in the 1960s, entered paradise on Jan. 9, 2019.

The daughter of Robert E. Smith and Evelyn Stark Smith, she was born in Waverly, Pa., in 1936 and graduated from high school in Sidney in 1954. She married Douglas A. Luscomb, formerly of Walton, in 1959. He predeceased her in November 2016. Their son Scott and his wife Joanne have four children:  Michael, Seth, Rachel and Joseph.
