D&H Yards As Closing Nears

Otsego Now CEO Sandy Mathes, left, shows Pete Fontana, Norfolk Southern’s industrial development manager for the region, around Oneonta’s D&H yards this morning.  The railroad, which bought Canadian Pacific’s railroad holdings in 2016, is considered to have a more proactive approach to developing business along its tracks than its predecessor.  At this morning’s Otsego Now meeting, counsel reported the IDA’s purchase of the yards should be complete in the next few days.  (Ian Austin/AllOTSEGO.com)
