MILFORD – Linda C. Pasquale, 62, retired Milford Central School teacher, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, at home with her husband at her side.

Linda was born Sept. 4, 1953, in Niagara Falls, the daughter of David W. Higby Sr. and Alicia (Stayer) Higby. She graduated from Madonna High School, Niagara Falls,  then received a teaching degree from D’Youville College, Buffalo.  

She married Ernest Pasquale on July 26, 1975, at St. Leo’s Catholic Church in Niagara Falls.

A teacher at Milford Central, she retired in 2006. She loved to bake and over the years brought tons of her cookies to school for her many friends to enjoy, even after retirement.  She was a volunteer for many years at the book fairs.

She and her family enjoyed traveling, camping and visiting friends.

She was a member at St. Mary’s “Our Lady of the Lake” Catholic Church in Cooperstown.

In addition to her husband, Ernest, she is survived by two daughters, Lisa (Jeremiah) Moore of Grand Rapids, Mich., and Christina (Vincent) Pelleriti of San Francisco; grandchildren Max, Ava and Parker Moore, and Lucie and Sam Pelleriti; her father, David W. Higby Sr.; her brother, David W. Higby Jr.; her sister, Marian Groeneveld; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother, Alicia Higby, and a brother, Theodore Higby.

Calling hours will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at the Lewis, Hurley & Pietrobono Funeral Home, 51 Dietz St., Oneonta.

The funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30, at St. Mary’s in Cooperstown, with the Rev. John Rosson, pastor, as celebrant.

The interment will be 1 p.m., Monday, Febr. 1, at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, 1413 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls.
