Of Village Police Reform
The Cooperstown Village Board held a public hearing last evening on its Community Advisory Board report on a state-ordered review of policies and procedures in the village Police Department. Foremost among the changes was an update use-of-force policy, which the new police chief, Frank Cavilieri, set in motion as soon as he was appointed last fall.
