Oneonta Man, 62, Airlifted

From Walmart Parking Lot

After Hit Crossing Route 23

ONEONTA – An Oneonta man with “serious injuries” was airlifted from the Walmart parking lot to a Binghamton area hospital last evening after he was struck by a car while crossing Route 23 on near the big box store, state police report.

Steven A. Grant, 62, was reportedly injured at 6:54 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle, a 31-year-old male, has been cooperative, troopers reported.  At this time, no tickets have been issued.  The investigation is continuing.

Oneonta EMS treated Grant at the scene, then transported him to the LifeNet helicopter, which flew him to Wilson Memorial Hospital.
