Oneonta Boys, Girls Advance

In Section IV, Class B Tourney

Oneonta Yellowjackets’ boys and girls teams both advance this weekend in Section VI Class B basketball tournaments.  Above, OHS junior Teddy McGraw shoots over Chenango Valley defenders Marcus Hanyon and Max Singer this afternoon as the Yellowjackets vanquished the visitor, 58-37, play  Number 3 seed Oneonta will take on the winner of Whitney Point and Seton Catholic, on Wednesday at 6. The higher seed will host the game.   Inset, Oneonta’s Anika Buzzy last evening shoots against Whitney Point defender Amy Stevens. Buzzy had 16 points and 13 rebounds in OHS’ 53-43 victory, which advances the Oneonta girls to the Section IV Class B finals at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Norwich. (Cheryl Clough/AllOTSEGO.com)
