Pioneer Street Paving Begins,

Ending $2M Downtown Project

Jerry Lewis of G. DeVincentis & Sons Construction, Binghamton, rolls freshly laid asphalt on Lake Street in Cooperstown this morning, as the final stage of last fall’s $2 million reconstruction of the villages’ Pioneer Street begins.  Paving of Pioneer between Lake and Church streets is expected to be complete on Wednesday.  The goal is to finish the work before the summer tourist season begins on Memorial Day Weekend.    (Parker Fish/AllOTSEGO.com)
