Red Jug Urges Its Patrons:

Shave Heads, Fight Cancer

redjuglogoONEONTA – To dramatize the need to support the fight against childhood cancer, some patrons of the Red Jug Pub, 195 Main St., will be shaving their heads from noon through the day on Saturday, Oct. 3, in solidarity with patients and in support of St. Baldrick’s Foundation in Monrovia, Calif.  Donations will also be solicited.

“We not only need donations and volunteers, but people willing to shave their heads in solidarity with those who are currently battling this deadly disease.  Those that shave their head will also acquire sponsors who will in turn donate in their name,” said Jason Bermas, Red Jug assistant manager.  “In the end we hope not only to donate a large sum of money to those that truly need it at this time, but help St. Baldricks in the very real mission – to conquer childhood cancer once and for all,” he said.

To participate, visit stbaldricks.org/events/RedJugPubONEONTA, e-mail Bermas at jasonisvoid@yahoo.com, or stop by and pick up a donation form.
