State Of The State?  Iffy,

Chamber Breakfast Told

SUNY Oneonta President Nancy Kleniewski urges state legislators at this morning’s Otsego County Chamber “State of the State” breakfast to ensure the SUNY system is sufficiently funded – not just bricks and mortar, but operating funds that keep professors in place. She noted that the state only contributes 11 percent to its university system’s budget. More than 100 attendees heard state Sen. Jim Seward, and three of the four assemblymen representing parts of Otsego County – Bill Magee, Clifford Crouch and Pete Lopez – discuss challenges ranging from school funding to Uber. Mayors Gary Herzig of Oneont and Jeff Katz of Cooperstown also spoke. (Ian Austin/AllOTSEGO.com)
