SUNY Oneonta Recognized

As ‘College Of Distinction’

suny logoONEONTA – SUNY Oneonta received word today that it has been named a College of Distinction, according to Director of Communications Hal Legg, joining schools nationwide that “are the best places to learn, to grow and to succeed.”

SUNY Oneonta joins seven of the system’s 11 comprehensive colleges on the list, as well as schools ranging from Fordham and Hofstra to Hobart and LeMoyne.

Featured on the organization’s web site as a new addition, SUNY Oneonta is described as “a mid-size, public college rooted in scholarship across the liberal arts and sciences. Oneonta prepares its students for successful careers and the pursuit of advanced degrees.”

The selection was made after a rigorous application process that culminated in an on-campus visit earlier this summer, Legg said.
