EMMONS – A man was found dead when Oneonta firefighters responded to a call about a barn fire at 130 Riverstone Road, according to Sheriff Richard J. Devlin Jr.

The Oneonta Fire Department was called to the scene of a fully involved barn fire at 11:20 p.m. last night. Schenevus, Milford and Pindars Corners all provided mutual aid, and they were on the scene until 4 a.m. this morning.

ONEONTA – A woman was injured and her dog killed in a fire that broke out at a home on the city’s East End this afternoon.

According to Assistant Fire Chief Jim Maloney, a call about a house fire came into the station at 1:13 p.m.  The caller initially identified the house as 6 Forest Ave., but upon arriving on scene, the firefighters discovered it was 8 Forest.

ONEONTA � No injuries were reported in a two-car accident at the intersection of Elm and Walnut this afternoon, but I’m sure the local auto body repair Shop will be getting some business!
